In the History Graduate Program, there are three major fields of study:
Japanese History, Oriental History, and Western History.
Students are encouraged not only to explore the past experiences of the mankind, but also to further improve their abilities to critically analyze problems that concern us today.

In addition to the courses taught by the faculty members listed above, we offer a wide variety of lecture courses and seminars taught by adjunct lecturers, all of them distinguished scholars in their respective areas of specialization.
There is a credit transfer agreement among the University of the Sacred Heart, Tokyo Woman's Christian University, and Japan Women's University that recognizes courses and/or programs undertaken at other institutions to count towards courses and/or programs at the University of the Sacred Heart.
