This seminar will further focus on reading poetry in depth and on critical thinking and writing. In the second semester, we will mainly read Romantic poetry and discuss the ideas of Romanticism, which could be grasped as the origin of Whitman's works.

Reference books will be introduced in class.
Assigned readings must be completed before each class. Active participation in discussion is essential.
