The purpose of this course is to enjoy the depth and breadth of literature through reading and discussing modern English poems thematically grouped into seven.
We will read, analyze, and learn by heart several poems on each of the seven theme groups. The close reading will reveal that every poem is ultimately an expression of the poet's whole being shaped by multiple interesting elements of existence.
Students are expected to participate actively in class.
