This seminar will focus on experiencing poetry and prose in depth, acquiring presentation skills, and writing about literature.
We will share songs, read poems, and also read prose works by Asian-American writers. We will focus on the theme of "the power of words."
Michael Meyer, Poetry: An Introduction A. Robert Lee, Multicultural American Literature Other readings to be supplied as handouts.
Reference books will be introduced in class.
Assigned readings myst be completed before each class. Active participation in discussion is essential.
