This project-oriented Computer Literacy course focuses on efficient use of the Internet, word processing, and PowerPoint presentations in order to train students in the three essential skills required of all English majors, i.e., research, drafting academic papers, and oral presentations.
Hands-on instructions in Internet-based researches, drafting academic researches, and PowerPoint presentations.
Students are asked to do everything in English.
Students will be given all necessary materials.
Most important will be regular attendance to assure that the student gets sufficient time on the computer. If students are frequently absent or late, it will be difficult to pass.
Attendance; individual demonstration of computer/research skills; homework and active class participation; semester report.
